I Guide yoga teachers on their paths to confident and clear teaching.
And, I offer yoga classes based on movement science and yoga philosophy.
I’ve taught yoga for over 23 years. In these decades of devotion, I’ve been a hustling freelancer, a studio owner and now connect with many students online. You’ll find me teaching in-person in Maine and beyond, and I love putting the online names to in-person faces.
In my classes and trainings, it’s evident that I value understanding more than achievement. You’ll see that I teach movement skills as a means of doing a yoga pose. A modern understanding of movement does not oppose the philosophical traditions of yoga, rather these two elements combine to create deep self-inquiry.
I consider myself to be an educator, so my classes are meant to inform and illuminate. My plank poses will refurbish your upper back, my balance poses will set your glutes aflame. Humor is my secret ingredient for teaching.
I live in Portland, Maine and delight in the beauty of this state. I’m an all-weather walker and a fair-weather bicyclist. I’m a semi-retired organic flower farmer, and I’m always daydreaming about my garden.
I love the deep discussions that happen when yoga teachers get together. I hold space for brave questions, critical thinking and philosophical inquiry…and I want you to do this as a teacher as well. Check out my FREE 7-page booklet The Art of Asking: How to Teach Inquiry-Based Yoga Classes.
